Bolivian - Spanish soprano Sara Sabag has sung at venues as Teatro Real in Madrid, Cercle del Liceu in Barcelona, Rudolf Steiner Haus in Hamburg, the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Musik in Vienna, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Auditorio 400 of Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, among others. She has attended several masterclasses with Montserrat Caballé, Giacomo Aragall and Evghenia Dundekova, after obtaining her Bachelor degree in music and opera performance in the "Conservatorio Superior J. Rodrigo" in Valencia, Spain.
She has debuted the roles of Leonore/Fidelio, Amelia/ Un Ballo in Maschera, Margherita/Mefistofele, Luisa Fernanda (Moreno Torroba), Dorabella/Così fan tutte, Cherubino/Le nozze di Figaro and Ms. Jaffet/Noye's Fludde (Britten), working with conductors and musical directors as Romain Bischoff, Cristobal Soler, Ricardo Estrada, Juan Pablo Hellín, Celsa Tamayo, José Madrid Giordano, Eduardo Rodriguez Campadello and stage directors as Joyce Henderson, Miguel Angel Gaspar, Albert Estany, Enrique Viana, etc.
Ms. Sabag takes part between 2009 and 2010 in a high training workshop as part of the young artist program of Teatro Real Madrid with the contemporary vocal music company VocaalLab Nederland, under the musical direction of Romain Bischoff. In 2017 she takes part of a theater workshop with Joyce Henderson (Complicite) in Teatro Real.
Her activity in the field of new music includes performances of works by Kagel, Pousseur, Schönberg, Kurtág, Berio, Kuijken, etc. Mrs. Sabag also keeps an intense collaboration with live composers, performing and premiering several contemporary works such as J.Martínez León/ Le voisin d’en face, Jorge Fernández Guerra, Bertha Artero Ponce, Brian Matínez, Luis Navarro Valcárcel among others.
She was Semifinalist in the prestigious International Contest of Singing of Treviso, Italy, in 2011, and Finalist in the International Contest of Singing of Logroño, Spain, in 2010.
